Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Petit Verdot from ZD opens with a blueberry, pomegranate, and red cherry bouquet with hints of lavender, beef stick and cedar. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, rich and lush. The flavor profile is a blueberry and vanilla blend with notes gentle black plum and anise. We also detected hints of candied violet, faint black cherry, and orange. The finish is dry and flavors and very mild tannins fade away nicely. The Tasting Panel would enjoy this Petit Verdot on its own. With food we would pair it with lamb kabobs. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep purple in color, intense and complex aromas of candied blackberry and plum are backed by black cherry, clove, and anise. Juicy and bright on the palate with a silky texture, flavors of fresh plum and chocolate-dipped raspberry lead into a long, red-fruit finish. - Brandon deLeuze, Winemaker/Partner
