Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Willakenzie opens with a strawberry and loam bouquet with hints of pomegranate and thyme. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth and gentle. The flavor profile is a red plum and cedar blend with notes of pomegranate and stone dust. We also detected some hints of teaberry and dried leaves. The finish is dry, and its acidity and fruit flavors linger and last for a very long time. We would pair this Pinot with a roasted Cornish game hen with a Pinot Noir sauce. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This expressive wine offers aromas of raspberry tea, black cherry, dried rose petal, cocoa powder, and a lovely, terroir-driven savory character. Those aromas and flavors carry through onto a rich and sumptuous palate that is defined by beautiful, refined tannins and great length.
