Wine Review: This very dark opaque purple colored wine opens with an attractive spicy ripe blackberry bouquet with notes of black pepper and dried red cherries. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and balanced. I did find that it needs to breath for a bit to open up. Once it does, the flavor profile is a supple plum and mild dusty black cherry. The finish is rather dry and its noticeable spicy tannins stick around for quite some time. This wine would pair well with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: JC Vizcarra achieves a remarkable balance between fruit and oak. It is a wine to drink now or to cellar. A distinct wine in Ribera del Duero.
