Wine Review: This midnight blue colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Spain opens with a musty old oak, new leather and cassis liquor like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral and cedar plank infused black cherry with notes of black pepper, blackberry and anise. The finish is quite dry and its flavors and moderate tannins stick around for quite some time. This Spanish Cab would pair well with a thick and well-marbled ribeye steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Terrer d'Aubert is composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon and expresses the saline minerality of the sea breeze and limestone, with a long and gripping finish reminiscent of the great wines from Bordeaux’s seaward communes of Pauillac and Saint-Estephe.
