Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Malbec from Vina Cobos opens with a blackberry and tobacco bouquet with hints of cocoa and pencil shavings. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and savory. The flavor profile is a blueberry and graphite blend with notes of black cherry and mint. I also detected hints of faint tobacco, black plum, and cocoa. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. This very good Malbec would pair well with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep purple color. Very complex character with aromas of red fruit and violets with hints of spices. On the palate it has a very good structure, fresh acidity, and fine grain tannins.
