Wine Review: This straw colored Albarino from the Edna Valley is very different from the ones from Rias Baixas. It opens with a mild green apple bouquet with a hint of lime and apricot. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and a bit round in the mouth. The flavor profile is a mineral infused mild green apple with notes of white pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity show nice length. This Albarino is food friendly would pair well with broiled scallops. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: 2016 was a challenging year for Albariño at SLV. The pH was very low in relation to the overall brix. The wine has an appealing lush quality balanced by a mouthwatering acidity.
