Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend from Spain opens ripe dark berry fruit and mild raisin bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe plum, black raspberry and mild raisin blend. I also detected just a hint of Captain Morgan and coke. The finish is dry and its tannins are very sticky and show quite a bit of length. This wine is a real big boy and will appeal to Zin drinkers. I would pair it with spicy jambalaya. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Sourced primarily from 10- to 15-year-old estate vines, Vall Llach’s Embruix (pronounced “Embroosh”), means “bewitching” in Catalan and the name, along with the picture of a full moon on the wine’s label, are testament to the winery’s interest in biodynamic winemaking. Dark cherry-red in color with a violet rim, the wine has aromas of fresh earth and toasted oak laced with ripe black fruit. In the mouth the wine is ample and intense, with notes of ripe berries, freshly ground cacao and black licorice that linger on the palate. Meant to consume now or age for 20-25 years, this wine should be served between 58-60ºF.
