Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Turnbull opens with a black currant and black cherry bouquet with hints of cinnamon and cigar box. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and fresh. The flavor profile is stone dust and blackberry blend with notes of black cherry and black tea. We also detected hints of cedar, black pepper, blueberry, and graphite. The finish is dry, and its flavors and very bold and dusty tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would decant this wine for a very long time as aeration polishes up the tannins. Then we would enjoy this Cab grilled Brazilian picanha steak or with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Notes of dusted blackberries, plum and cherry lead to a back-drift of toast and fleeting tobacco. Supple creamy tannins widen the dark fruit midpalate, leading to a lifted and layered finish. This wine widens and rises in amplitude and velocity with elegance and balance, showcasing the incredible beauty of the 2021 vintage.
