Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Malbec from California opens with a fragrant and attractive blueberry and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a tart black cherry and dark chocolate blend with hints of blueberry and old oak. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild soft tannins fade away. This Malbec is food friendly and would pair well with a tangy pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dark fruits dominate this full bodied red. the wine's inky color alert you to the black fruits about to be enjoyed. Aromas of boysenberry, blackberry, and plum present themselves on the nose while red fruits such as cranberry and cherry dominate the palate. This wine has ample tannins and can hold up to the heartiest of dishes. Drink this wine now with a beef Bourguignon or cellar it to be enjoyed in years to come!
