Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Merlot based blend from Tsillan Cellars on Washington State opens with a dark chocolate and oak bouquet with notes of moist pipe tobacco, fig and black plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. It was smooth and a little thin. The flavor profile black raspberry, plum and toasted oak blend with notes of dark chocolate. We also detect hints of sage, cured meat and coffee. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate sticky tannins show good length. This wine would pair well with a lamb chop. Enjoy - Ken and Mark
Winemaker Notes: Our signature red wine blend is a hearty, complex mix of our best reds. The aromas and flavors are broad and seem never ending. They include plums, black cherries, a bit of raspberry and of course lovely toasty oak notes. Burgers, BBQ or grilled salmon filet finished with a plum sauce will pair nicely.
