Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Truchard opens with an interesting dried cherries, cranberry, herbal tea and fig bouquet. On the palate, this wine medium bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a cranberry, plum and oolong tea blend. I also detected hints of thyme, tart strawberry and rhubarb. The finish is dry and its flavors and linger nicely. This Pinot would pair well with a duck confit crostini. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A beautiful nose of black cherry, wild strawberry, and pomegranate with hints of rhubarb, tea, and earth. The mouth is silky; with flavors of ripe plum, cranberry, and sweet vanilla. Firm acidity and delicate tannins focus the palate and provide a lingering finish of spice and red fruit.
