Wine Review: This bright yellow colored Gewurztraminer from Trimbach opens with a fragrant and attractive lychee and mild grapefruit bouquet with hints of rose petal and ginger. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with medium acidity. It is slightly viscous and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a lychee and ginger blend with notes of yellow grapefruit. I also detected hints of Meyer lemon and almond. The finish is refreshing and its flavors drift away nicely. I would serve the Alsatian Gewurz slightly chilled and pair it with chicken satay and chicken lo-mein. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright pale gold with aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, lychee and rose petals. Rich, intense, luscious, and well balanced with a dry, spicy finish. Perfectly pairs with Asian and fusion cuisines as well as spicy entrees. Also, an ideal wine to pair with strong cheeses.
