Wine Review: This very pale straw-colored Riesling from Alsace opens with a honeyed pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine displays an intriguing weight. It feels light bodied, but its viscosity also makes it feel like its medium bodied. Its acidity and fruit are also nicely balanced. The flavor profile is a tasty Granny Smith apple and Anjou pear blend with nicely integrated minerality. I also detected a hint of ginger, white pepper and touch of ruby grapefruit. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would serve it with steamed grouper fillets. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A beautiful straw color with green edges with a fine mineral fragrance of ginger and caraway seed under ripe pineapple and flowers. Flavors of white peach, quince and lemon on the palate with a lingering, clean and dry finish. Pairs perfectly with marinated or grilled fish and sushi.
