Wine Review: This dark garnet colored Malbec and Cabernet Franc blend from Trapiche opens with a mild currant and oak bouquet with hints of black cherry and stone dust. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, dense, and very fresh. The flavor profile is an oak and red currant blend with notes of stony minerality and raspberry. We also detected hints of tea, cranberry, and baking spice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would decant this red blend before serving it with an assortment of grilled sausages. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Malbec delivers its deep purple-red color, with aromas of violets, ripe red fruits, a slight touch of spices and generous tannins. The Cabernet Franc contributes black fruit, a balsamic hint and tannins that structure the middle of the mouth. A perfect combination that results in a flavorful wine with great concentration, elegance, complexity, and a pure finish.
