Wine Review: This midnight violet colored Pinot Noir is very rich. It opens with a blackberry and licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and very rich. The flavor profile is an extracted blackberry and licorice blend with notes of minerality and hints of 85% cacao, black cherry and at touch of blueberry towards the end. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors last for quite a while after the wine is gone. This is a big boy Pinot. It definitely improves with some air. I would decant it or swirl it a lot in the glass, then serve it with tender grilled steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep red cherry color that welcomes the senses with aromas of red raspberry, cherry cola, tobacco, and dried eucalyptus leaves along with notes of mint and cinnamon. Inviting flavors of black plum, red currant and dried red cherry layered over notes of forest floor, grilled meats and white pepper on the finish. This wine features a rich mouthfeel along with balanced acidity and a refined tannin structure that lingers on the finish.
