Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Petite Sirah opens with mild smoky oak and dark chocolate bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with gentle acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth, well-balanced, and tame for a Petite Sirah. The flavor profile is a chocolate and blueberry blend with notes of oak and black plum. I also detected hints of black tea and stony minerality. The finish is dry which you would expect for a Petite Sirah. The tannins are masterfully well-managed as well. I would pair this Petite Sirah with Roy's rib roast. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2018 Titus Petite Sirah has beautiful aromas of berry compote, boysenberry syrup, cola, toasty oak, and purple flowers. The wine is mouth coating with a deep rich texture and viscosity. Flavors of berry pie, blue fruits, cracked pepper, huckleberry and cola greet the palate as the wine rolls through to the finish. Deep tannins give the wine structure and definition throughout the entire palate. This wine should age exceptionally. Enjoy from 2023-2031 and beyond.
