Wine Review: This pitch black colored Shiraz opens with a fragrant and attractive blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild blackberry with notes of gentle oak and mild black currant. There was also a hint of black licorice and black pepper mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its fine tannins are rather sticky and linger. This Shiraz would pair well with braised duck breast. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense purple/red core with purple hues, the nose is vibrant displaying blue/red fruits, a hint of violet, mulberry spice, and dark chocolate. The palate shows intense dark red fruits with fruitcake spice chocolate peatiness, multilayered wine with terrific tannin acid balance offering a fine and long persistent finish.
