Wine Review: This deep purple colored Shiraz from the Barossa Valley opens with a mild blueberry and pipe tobacco bouquet with hints of Portobello mushroom and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and a little juicy. The flavor profile is a blackberry and spicy plum blend with hints of licorice, cinnamon and black pepper. The finish is dry and its tingly acidity and gentle tannins linger nicely. We would pair this easy to drink Shiraz with a skirt steak with chimichurri sauce or as grilled steak burrito. Enjoy – Ken, Jeoff and Rick
Winemaker Notes: Striking deep red-purple in color. A rich, voluptuous wine with aromas of blackcurrant and mulberries accompanied by notes of smoky oak and hints of cloves. The palate is filled with dark fruits and chocolate backed up by taut tannins and lingering oak. Pair with grilled meat, grilled vegetables, and strong cheese as well. Also delicious with dark chocolate.
