Wine Review: This enjoyable and polished Pinot Noir from Yorkville Highlands in California is a translucent pale ruby color. The bouquet displays ripe fruity aromas featuring red raspberry and red cherry along with hints of lavender and cedar. It is medium bodied with medium acidity and has good balance. The mouthfeel is fresh and juicy, while also being smooth. There are lots of flavors featuring red plum, red raspberry, bramble, black tea, cedar, and clove, along with notes of cranberry and allspice. It closes with a long dry finish with dusty fine-grained tannins. Serve with grilled chicken slathered with a smoky cherry barbeque sauce. - Mark
