Wine Review: This very dark purple colored wine opens with plum and rubber like bouquet with a hint of smoke. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy going. The flavor profile is classic South African red in style. It displays smoky oak infused black cherry with hints of pomegranate, raspberry, and a touch of minerality. The finish is dry and its moderate oak tannins are dusty and linger slightly. This wine would be a good grilled Angus burger wine for your summer barbecues. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Mountain Red offers Thelema pedigree at a fraction of the price. Generous dark berry, currant and plum flavors combine with notes of earth, black pepper and spice. This approachable, crowd pleasing red displays soft, supple tannins.
