Wine Review: This brick red, small production Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast is very good. It opens with a very fragrant ripe wild strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe strawberry with notes of minerality and oak. I also detected hints of black pepper and red beet. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. This Pinot was one of highlights I discovered at this year’s Boston Wine Expo. I would pair it with cherry amaretto chicken. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This elegant wine features a theoretical combination of Beaune and Sonoma Coast. The aromas and flavors, featuring beautiful red cherry fruit and earthiness are buttressed by its medium bodied frame. With air, the wine develops complexity and transparently reflects its clonal heritage.
