Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Syrah opens with a black raspberry and cherry bouquet with hints of licorice, herbs, and black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a black currant and blackberry blend with notes of tea, crushed stone, and oak. We also detected hints of black cherry and dark chocolate. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. The Tasting Panel would decant this wine for a bit to release its fruit flavors. Then pair it with a juicy bacon burger or with Morimoto's hoisin chili sticky spareribs. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Classic Syrah aromas of violets, blackberries and cracked black pepper. Perfect balance between dark fruit sweetness and savory earthiness. Plush and soft then structured and powerful, but refined enough to enjoy today. All that makes Syrah such a legendary grape.
