Wine Review: This bright red colored Zinfandel opens with a fragrant red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and easy to drink. The flavor profile is mild black raspberry with notes of gentle old oak in the background. I also detected a hint of clove and gentle blackberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for a little while. This is a very good Zin to have at your summer barbecues. It would pair well with most burgers and fixings. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This savory Zinfandel displays vibrant aromas of rich, spicy clove and big, generous fruit with hints of vanilla that entice the nose. An abundance of plums and flavors of dense, juicy blackberries excites the senses with a round mouthfeel of well-integrated tannins on the finish. This wine is rich and powerful, and incredibly well-balanced. The Terra d'Oro Amador Zinfandel is enjoyable on its own, and especially complements anything barbecued.
