Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Terra Valentine is a very sturdy offering. It opens with a faint black currant, boysenberry and toasted coconut bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black currant with notes of minerality, oak and blueberry. I also detected hints of coconut and plum towards the end. The finish is dry and its hedonistic dusty tannins are very lengthy and chewy. Since this is not a fruit bomb, I would decant this wine and serve it in the near term with a well-marbled cowboy ribeye steak. Enjoy - Ken
