Wine Review: This deep purple colored Syrah from Terminim opens with a blueberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of black cherry and pink Canada wintergreen mints. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round, rich, and very nicely balanced. The flavor profile is black plum and graphite blend with notes of cedar, red currant, and espresso. We also detected hints of black pepper and black cherry. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins linger nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Syrah with osso buco, a turkey drumstick, or with a wild mushroom risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: François Villard and Donald Patz announce the release of their 2nd Syrah collaboration from the Alder Springs Vineyard in Mendocino County. The 2018 vintage of TERMINIM Syrah. As you might expect it is an interesting combination of California Syrah grapes coupled with French and American winemaking. François took the lead in conceptualizing this wine and Donald oversaw the day to day execution of their plan. It's a true collaboration and the results are a unique melding of two great Syrah growing regions. A mere 300 cases of this wine were produced.
