Wine Review: This straw colored Albarino from the Edna Valley opens with a gun flint, stone fruit and mild gooseberry bouquet with hints of lychee. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and moderately acidic. The flavor profile is mild mineral and gentle white grapefruit blend with hints of lemon-lime, saline and almond. The finish is dry, extended and pleasant refreshing. This Albarino would pair well with grilled swordfish or ceviche. Enjoy – Ken, Karen & Stuart. (SIP Certified)
Winemaker Notes: Made in the traditional style of Rias Baixas Albarino, this wine is pure and vibrant, with a slight salty characteristic. Mandarin orange and tangerine peel begin in the aromatics and run clear through to the finish. The round mouthfeel is beautifully balanced by a somewhat crisp acid structure. The refreshing quality of this wine makes it an excellent aperitif, and it pairs well with most seafoods.
