Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Talley opens with a strawberry bouquet with a hint of clove. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a tasty gentle strawberry with notes of red plum and mild minerality. I also detected a hint of strawberry rhubarb and oak in the background. The finish is dry and it fades away nicely. This Pinot is food friendly and would pair perfectly with Tyler Florence's ultimate Cuban sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2015 vintage of Estate Pinot Noir is translucent garnet in hue and expressive of the distinctive character of the Arroyo Grande Valley which produces structured pinot noir with strong mineral notes. Bright strawberry aromas are complemented by hints of pomegranate seed and sage. The palate reveals notes of dried cranberry, strawberry cream, and black tea, with soft sandalwood undertones weighted toward a juicy and lingering finish. Enjoy this Pinot Noir with grilled salmon or caprese salad.
