Wine Review: This dark ruby and slight opaque colored Pinot Noir from Talley opens with a mild black raspberry bouquet with hints cherry-cola and vanilla oak. On the palate this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty mild red plum with notes of cherry-cola, blueberry and gentle vanilla oak. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and are nicely prolonged. This Pinot Noir is very food friendly and would pair well with rosemary seasoned pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Translucent ruby in color, the 2013 vintage expresses classic characteristics of the Arroyo Grande Valley. The nose offers bright notes of red fruits like strawberry and raspberry, as well as hints of smoke and herbs. On the palate this medium-bodied wine yields notes of cranberry, Rainier cherry and damp soil with distinct mineral notes. With a soft, plush texture, the 2013 Estate Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with spiced duck or mushroom risotto.
