Wine Review: This light white gold colored Chardonnay from Talley opens with a pleasant and inviting mild Bartlett pear bouquet with a hint of Werthers Original candy. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and rich. The flavor profile is a vanilla and oak influenced caramel with notes of pear. I also detected some tropical hints of pineapple and mango in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors show very nicely length. This impressive California styled Chardonnay would pair very nicely with lobster bisque. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2016 vintage of Oliver's Vineyard Chardonnay is pale straw in appearance and expresses bright aromas of apricot, orange blossom, and white peach. The palate is supple with soft caramel notes that lead to a rich and toasty finish. Try pairing this Chardonnay with Camembert cheese or whole roasted chicken on a bed of carrots and onions.
