Wine Review: This really nice Finger Lakes Riesling, contrary to its name, is slightly off-dry, light yellow in color, and has a nose of pear, honeysuckle, lime and wet stone. It is full bodied and round, mouth coating but with bright acidity. Delicious flavors of concentrated stone fruit and lime, with hints of honey and mild minerality. The finish lingers with apricot and ginger notes. Dig into fried coconut shrimp with this impressive Riesling from Standing Stone. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: Our Dry Riesling is sourced from one of the oldest Riesling vineyards on Seneca Lake, planted in 1972. The combination of vine age and the site’s location contribute to a concentrated and ripe presentation. The palate is agile and crisp with round fruit flavors and a textured mouthfeel. This wine has enough structure to age for a number of years to come or can be enjoyed now with herbed roast chicken or pork and root vegetables.
