Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Spottswoode opens with a dark raspberry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of espresso. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round, bright, and fresh. The flavor profile is a mild blackberry and black tea blend with notes of black licorice and stony minerality. I also detected hints of craisin. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for a very long time. I would pair this "Estate" Cab with a Colorado lamb chop. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Stunning! Beautiful aromatics of candied violet, blackberry, blueberry yogurt, and cassis. Powerfully expressive with sturdy, firm tannins, generous acidity, and a long lively finish marked by cedar and toffee notes. An elegant vintage, this spectacular wine captures the essence of the Spottswoode Estate Vineyard. It is fresh and youthful now with a long life ahead.
