Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Russian River opens with a ripe black raspberry bouquet with a hint of cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, crisp, and lively. The flavor profile is a tasty and fruit forward ripe black raspberry and black licorice blend with notes of plum and black pepper. The finish is dry and its tingly acidity and flavors last for quite some time after the wine is gone. This will appeal to Pinot fans and Zin lovers. It would pair well with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful fruit aromas of dark cherry, wild berry and plum overlay a background of toasted wood, sage and cardamom. At the same time, anise, smoke and earth notes add the complexity that defines great Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. The mouthfeel is polished and lively, with layers of berry pie, black licorice and mocha supported by a silky, yet delicate texture that carries through to a ripe, generous finish.
