Wine Review: This pitch black colored Tempranillo from the Toro region of Spain opens with a fragrant black currant and black licorice bouquet with hints of blackberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well-balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty black currant, mild plum and oak blend with hints of minerality, prune and dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its moderate well-managed tannins are quite lengthy. This Tempranillo is food friendly and showing very nicely right now. It was like by all that tried it. It paired well with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep cherry color. Very expressive, elegant and complex with ripe fruit, mineral notes, sweet spices, chocolate aromas and intense toasts. Powerful, tasty, round and very smooth. We find again black berries, mineral notes, chocolates with roasted aromas. Very long after taste. Pairings: Ideal for red meats, lamb, roasted meat and strong cheeses.
