Wine Review: This white gold colored Alvarinho from Portugal opens with a nectarine and lime zest bouquet with hints of white grapefruit and passion fruit. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, fresh, and very mouthwatering. The flavors profile is lime and passionfruit blend with notes saline and white grapefruit. I also detected hints of chalky minerality, lemon verbena, and nectarine pit. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this very good Alvarinho fried calamari or fish n’ chips. Enjoy – Ken
