Wine Review: This straw colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a faint wet stone and gentle lime bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and tart. The flavor profile is a mild green apple with notes lime and a touch of grapefruit. The finish is dry and subtle. This is a good value summer Sauvignon Blanc. It would pair well with grilled chicken sandwiches. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2010 Smoking Loon Sauvignon Blanc is bright but delicate with layered aromas of jasmine, green tea, and grapefruit. On the palate, tart citrus peel, grapefruit and key lime flavors meld seamlessly, with the understated grassy herbaceous notes that identify Sauvignon Blanc so well. Medium-bodied, this dry, but floral wine shows bracing acidity on the mid-palate leading to a refreshing zesty finish with lingering ruby-red grapefruit notes.
