Wine Review: This entry level Chard opens with an attractive mild butterscotch bouquet with a hint of apple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and creamy. The flavor profile is a very tasty caramel apple with a hint of pineapple mixed in. The finish is dry and very pleasant. It would be a perfect everyday choice. I would pair it with aged gruyere. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Behind the light straw color are aromas of sweet spring flowers, green tea, and a touch of fresh pineapple. The palate is framed by flavors of lemon meringue, fresh papaya, limestone, and subtle nuances of clove finishing with nectarine and light vanilla oak tones. This Chardonnay pairs well with scallops over spring greens with a fresh Meyer lemon vinaigrette or try it with your favorite appetizers such as baked Brie topped with mango preserves.
