Wine Review: This dark red colored Syrah based red blend from Site Wines opens with a leather and campfire smoke bouquet with hints of black raspberry and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, fresh, and savory. The flavor profile is a black licorice and stewed black plum blend with notes of black tea and oak. I also detected hints of marionberry. The finish is dry, and its acidity, flavors, and moderate tannins have nice length. I would pair this red blend with a duck confit. Enjoy - Ken
