Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Pinot from Siduri is quite impressive already. It opens with a shy strawberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, creamy, and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty cherry with a hint of raspberry. The finish is dry and its very well managed tannins are nicely prolonged. This young offering would already pair nicely with duck. Its terrific now, I can’t wait to try it again down the road with some bottle age. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: We feel very confident that the 2008 Siduri Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is superior to what we believed was a fantastic 2007 blend. The wine simply shows a bit more of everything, with typical Russian River flavors of cola and spice, along with great richness of cherry and raspberry fruits, and a mouth filling, velvet texture. This wine is definitely ready to go right now, and should make superb drinking over the holiday season, but it should improve as well for two or more years.
