Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple colored Pinot Noir opens with a fragrant blackberry and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, crisp, and acidic. The flavor profile is a ripe plum and blackberry blend. There are notes of oak and black pepper mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its tingly tannins are slightly prolonged. This wine would pair well with a tangy pulled pork sandwich or grilled shrimp with a cognac and Thousand Island dipping sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: As we mentioned before, the 2010 Siduri Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is a particularly impressive wine. On opening it shows dark rich brambleberry and rhubarb fruits, along with hints of rose petals, sandalwood, and incense. Lush and spicy on the creamy midpalate, the wine glides to a long, balanced finish. This wine is so easy to drink that you will find yourself reaching for a second bottle before the evening is over.
