Wine Review: This slightly cloudy bright red colored Pinot opens with a spicy scented strawberry bouquet with a hint of oak in the background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a spicy mild black raspberry with notes of black pepper and oak. The finish is dry and brief. Our tasters found this wine to be friendly and very drinkable now. Pair it with a pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: In 2008, the wine is 46% Rosella's Vineyard, 30% Pisoni Vineyard, and 24% Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noir. We came up with the blend by blindly tasting through every barrel and blending them together in the way we believed produced a rich, forward Pinot Noir reminiscent of the Santa Lucia appellation. The wine is medium ruby color; deep, slightly closed, black cherry and smoky aromas; ripe, rich, smoky cherry flavors, complex, silky texture; toasty oak; good structure and balance; long finish. Complex and interesting style with good depth and structure.
