Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored Cabernet is Excellent! It opens with a fragrant black currant and boysenberry bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and very smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious black currant with notes of nicely integrated oak. I also detected of anise and black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins show terrific length. I would pair this gem with a Kobe cap steak at Grill 23 in Boston. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The long, cool 2010 vintage has given this wine dark color, high-toned, perfumy aromas and elegant flavors of dark cherry, espresso, sweet vanilla and wet earth with enticing rose petal, cranberry, blueberry, oregano and sage. The mouthfilling complexity and completeness here come together with ripe, smooth-textured tannins and a persistent finish that won’t let go.
