Wine Review: This ruby colored blend from Tuck Beckstoffer would be a nice summer red. It opens with faint red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused mild red plum with hints of oak and black pepper. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and acidity linger slightly. Our mini-tasting group thought this wine was food friendly and would pair well with tuna tartar or sushi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2012 vintage of The Sum boasts an inky deep purple color accompanied a lovely nose of blueberries, espresso and dark chocolate. Full bodied and multilayered, this wine exhibits what can be achieved through meticulous winemaking and blending. A fantastic wine that will quite easily age for 15 to 20 years but that is also shows wonderfully right away.
