Wine Review: This is the second vintage in a row that I have recommended this terrific red blend. It is opaque and midnight blue colored. It opens with a fragrant cherry vanilla bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, smooth and well balanced. The flavor profile is a very tasty black cherry with notes of old oak. I also detected a touch of black raspberry, cassis, black pepper and olive. The finish displays moderate dusty tannins that linger slightly. This Cab based wine is a great value. It would pair perfectly with a thick and juicy Kobe bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This amazingly well-endowed, profoundly rich red wine must be smelled and tasted to be believed. The color is a rich, deep purple garnet and gives but a small hint as to what’s inside. The nose gives off soaring and wonderfully focused aromas of ripe stone fruit, vanilla, cherries, cedar cigar box, blackberries and cinnamon. In the mouth, there are layers upon layers of broad, sweet opulent fruit balanced by firm tannins, great acidity and oak.
