Wine Review: This slightly hazy and light gold colored Chardonnay from Sequoia Grove opens with a pineapple and banana bouquet with hints of chamomile tea, lemon tart and honey. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, slightly creamy, and graceful. The flavor profile is gentle oak influenced poached Bosc pear and golden delicious apple blend with notes of pineapple, lemon verbena, and vanilla. We also detected hints of flinty minerality and some slight salinity. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with chicken and wild mushroom ravioli with a mild cream sauce or with a poached sea bass with lemon and garlic. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This Carneros Chardonnay bursts with aromas of apricot, honey, pomelo, lemon, and a touch of marigold. On the palate, the wine is restrained and linear with medium weight and flavors of fresh lemon curd, mineral oil, wet stone, and baking spice followed by hints of passion fruit. This Chardonnay is well balanced, mouth coating, and has elegant structure leading to tension on the finish.
