Wine Review: This Petite Sirah based wine from Sebastiani is dark ruby colored and opens with aromas of red raspberry, blackberry, black currant, vanilla and oak. On the palate this wine is medium bodied with well-integrated acidity and tannins. The flavor profiles features blackberry, black cherry and plum with notes of coffee, tobacco and chocolate. The finish is dry and extended with dusty tannins. We would suggest serving this good value red wines with steak tips and garlic mashed potatoes. – Karen & Stuart
Winemaker Notes: Our 2018 Bourbon Barrel Aged Red is deep purple and inky, almost opaque in depth of color. The nose is lush and jammy with layers of dark fruit and undertones of vanilla and caramel. Flavors of dark berry, plum, mocha and toasted pecan are enveloped with soft, velvety tannins and a unique complexity imparted by the Bourbon barrel aging. Lingering notes of sweet oak and clove lead to a smooth finish. - David Nakaji, Winemaker
