Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel opens with a fragrant craisin and ripe boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a ripe plum and mild raspberry tea. I also detected hints of cinnamon, gentle strawberry and a touch milk chocolate at the very end. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins fade away nicely. This Zin, while not overly complex is pretty tasty and will be a crowd pleaser. Quaff it with barbecue chicken or your favorite burger at your summer parties. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2015 Sonoma County Zinfandel is opulent with a beautiful deep ruby hue as you pour it into the glass. Concentrated aromas of raspberry and white pepper offer a bold, fruit forward and spicy nose. these notes carry through to the palate with juicy flavors of raspberry, blackberry, plum and white pepper. The finish has a full body with sleek tannins that balance out the lush, berry texture. This wine can be enjoyed now, and pairs well with hearty pastas or a wood-fired sausage and pepper pizza.
