Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a cantaloupe, pear and mild butterscotch bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty butterscotch and pear blend with hints of gentle oak in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This really nice Chard would pair well with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our vineyard-designate bottlings are intended to showcase special individual sites that consistently produce higher quality wines with unique and compelling characteristics. Year after year, Patrick's Vineyard accounts for some of the finest Chardonnay in our cellar. This 2011 is forward and ripe with a commanding bouquet featuring apricots, yellow peaches and toasted oak. The palate is rich and voluptuous with notes of marzipan and grilled almonds. It is intense, balanced and satisfying.
