Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with an inviting blueberry and plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, easy going and a bit juicy. The flavor profile is a pleasant ripe black plum with notes of black currant, red beet, and cinnamon spice. There is also a pleasant streak of mild old oak throughout as well. The finish is dry and its mild fine tannins fade away nicely. This Pinot would pair well with many foods. I think Theresa’s meatloaf would be a perfect pair. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Medium ruby red, our 2009 Carneros Pinot Noir is well scented with Maraschino cherry, game, spice, earth and toasty oak. The palate is sleek, elegant and silky. The finish has sufficient acids and tannins to frame the fruit and add grip. The keywords for our 2009 Carneros Pinot? Finesse and style.
