Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Sebastiani was a real crowd pleaser at a Christmas party I recently attended. It opens with a mild boysenberry and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a very tasty black currant and plum blend with notes of nicely integrated old oak with a hint of black pepper and black cherry. The finish is dry and its mild tannins fade away nicely. I would pair this food friendly Cab with beef stroganoff. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine's sheer depth is telegraphed by the deep, opaque, ruby red color. The aromatics and flavors are what you would expect from the vintage, region and variety: blackberry, black tea, baked berry pie, chocolate, raspberries and olives. While the wine possesses formidable heft, it is also smooth, silky and beautifully balanced. - Mark R. Lyon, Winemaker
