Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir opens with red raspberry and pine needle bouquet with hints of red cherry, dried strawberry, and muddled mint. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, delicate, seamless, and bright. The flavor profile is Rainier cherry, strawberry, and vanilla blend with notes of red plum and loam. We also detected hints of oak and black raspberry, and cola. The finish is dry and its flavors and dusty refined tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with a Colorado rack of lamb. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Each year, our goal for Southing is to create the ideal marriage of complexity and elegance. Southing exhibits aromas of fresh strawberry, rose water, Rainier cherry and subtle baking spices. The fine tannins and minerality are enhanced by our estate vineyard’s characteristic cool climate acidity.
